What is an LED RFID Label/Tag?
An RFID LED label is a battery-free RFID tag equipped with a built-in LED light. By adding a visual light indicator to a traditional RFID tag, it enables quick identification and precise locating of specific items. When activated, the LED lights up, making it easy to spot the exact item you are searching for.
Why LED RFID labels are used?
Traditional RFID labels are already very useful. They help you count items quickly, track when things are borrowed or returned, manage access rights, and keep a clear digital record of everything. But in real-life situations, just knowing that an item is “somewhere in this room or on this shelf” is not enough. Staff often need to find the exact folder, the correct test tube rack, the one broken cable, or the specific asset that needs attention.
For example, in the file management scenario, when faced with the same folders, it is always difficult to quickly find the one we need. If you’re using regular labels.
